CHRISTIAN
COIPEL

D1 BASEBALL · JACKSONVILLE UNIVERSITY, MBA · PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL

Christian Coipel grew up with a bat in his hands and one objective: play as long as the game would have him. He carried that drive from Florida Christian School to Jacksonville University, competing at the Division I level where the difference between players who advance and those who don't comes down to preparation, equipment, and will.

When professional baseball came calling, he answered, spending years in independent league baseball, grinding on fields where careers are extended or ended. Through all of it, one truth stayed constant: the bat matters. Not as a brand statement. As a performance instrument.

Christian understood this at a level that only comes from thousands of at-bats, late nights in the cage, and the kind of repetition that turns mechanics into instinct. He knew what a bat should be. He just hadn't built it yet.

The bat matters. It always has.

BRIAN
GARCIA

MS FINANCE, BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY · PRIVATE EQUITY

Brian Garcia's baseball career didn't follow a straight line. It followed the game wherever it would take him. Three different levels. One consistent drive: stay on the field as long as possible.

  • NCAA DIVISION II · WHERE IT STARTED
  • JUCO DIVISION I · CHASING THE GAME
  • NCAA DIVISION III · PLAYING TILL THE END

That path gave Brian something most business and finance school graduates never have: a player's understanding of the game. He knew what it felt like to need the right equipment and not always have access to it.

When baseball ended, Brian went to Brandeis University, earned a Master of Science in Finance, and moved into investment banking and private equity, where his work centered on buying and scaling lower middle market companies. The game was behind him. The obsession never left.

Stay on the field. Whatever level. Whatever it takes.

THE DESK
JOB THAT
STARTED
EVERYTHING

When his professional playing career wound down, Christian did what most former players eventually do: he got a desk job. Meetings. Spreadsheets. Fluorescent lights. And a creeping certainty that something essential had been left behind on a diamond somewhere.

He started asking a different question. Not how do I get comfortable here? But what do I actually know better than anyone?

The answer was immediate: baseball. Specifically, what a bat should feel like, how it should be built, and why so much of what was available to serious players fell short of what the game actually demands. That frustration became the fuel.

The only question left was who could help him build it correctly. As it turned out, that person had been chasing the same game, from a different angle, his entire life.

BUILT FOR PLAYERS WHO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

Trident Bat Company was built on a premise that doesn't bend: pro-grade equipment should be built by people who've actually played the game. Not marketed at it. Not inspired by it. Built from the inside, by two former players who understood the gap between what serious athletes deserve and what the market actually delivers.

Christian brought the standard, the feel, the spec, the knowing. Brian built the machine to deliver it: the operations framework, the systems that allow Trident to perform and scale. They set the bar. Then built everything underneath it.
